hedgehog bush

a plastron painted in ink shields a musical hinge
reflects off a red case carried by
fingers i kiss
fingers that trace eyelids
i listen to breaths
remind me to breathe
deeper than my chest
a red capo
capable of changing things
am i capable of saying things i feel?
feelings ive listed
on paper bound by a purple spine
ive found them written in my mind
songs i cant finish
fill my head
swimming in windows
i drown in green a bit too much
im falling by a hedgehog bush
2 am roadtrips
on a bed
in our heads
branches contort like my fingers
on cold winter days
reflected off brown and green shingles and
three tinted panes
pain that i locked away
away from my home
a face lingers
linking me to memories
so im sending links to lemon tree
trees that ive painted
on paper bound by a purple spine
ive found them written in my mind
songs i cant finish
lose their charm
swimming in windows
i drown in green a bit too much
im falling by a hedgehog bush
2 am roadtrips
in your arms
i could grow here
limbs tangled like roots
falling forward
no need for parachutes
no need for parachutes
